"Wobbles the Mind" (wobblesthemind)

This may surprise most of you, but I’m actually a very organized and plan minded person. I understand you can’t predict what the future will bring, so I battle that by planning for spontaneity and setting multiple permutations for my daily/weekly/monthly schedules. I thought it would be helpful to put my current plans into writing and out in public in order to get me to stick to this timeline. So, I present to you...
Wobbles the Future!!
*I haven’t forgotten about

that we have going. So keep this in mind as I continue on. Everything is still in top working order since
!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!
as far as my two personal vehicles are concerned.
My personal life
This will be quick. I’m going to continue living in the apartment I’ve been living in since March 2013 until Fall/Winter 2018. If I’m in a serious relationship by that point, or I’m no longer leaving the state 5 to 14 days a month, then I’ll look into getting a house. Otherwise, I’ll continue living on lease but will look for a larger space and start accumulating furniture, decore, and appliances for a future home.
I’m in a company I enjoy and that is thriving. I adore doing the work and I’m recognized for the work I do (which is such a rare thing in most jobs). Of course, being a 27 year old go-getter, I do plan to move up and I’m laying down the foundations and connections needed for upward motion. I do believe this job is a blessing and I’m not throwing that away!
I’ve also been very happy for about a year now being on my own and single. The first couple years were rough, mostly fighting loneliness especially getting to go to so many great areas in the country every month but not even having a friend to share photos with. Thankfully, I learned that I actually enjoy hanging out with myself and that has allowed others to be invited to hang out with me, myself, and I (can’t stand that guy though).
Alright, that’s plenty of that, let’s get into some cars!
Selling the Amanti (Fall 2017)
Yes the “Great White Derby Hat on Dubs” will be out of my garage as I’ll need the probably $3,000 to pay off the remainder of my student debt by then. If I pay that off sooner, I’ll set it aside as part of a down payment fund (whether house, bike, car, or what have you).
Retiring the Grand Cherokee (After Amanti Sell)
Retiring?! I know that I !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! at the end of August with 31,000 miles on the clock, however it has now been just about 8 months and the odometer is at 64,000 miles. I knew going in that I’d be just touching 50,000 miles a year on this guy, so even though I’ll keep this truck, by Fall 2017, I’ll have a 132,000 mile WK2 that I’m sure I can get to 180,000 miles without any big issues. I’m hoping I’m not driving as much after this Summer though, and that by Spring 2017, I’m only doing 26,000 miles a year, which could push me out to Fall 2018 having a reliable and warrantied (extended) Jeep Grand Cherokee. I can’t sell the WK2 until 2019 though.
Replacement Work-Daily Vehicle (after Amanti Sell, before WK2 Retire)
All I know is that I’ll need a vehicle around Winter 2017 or Spring 2018. I can’t tell you what kind of vehicle but it will be midsize-ish and up.
Here’s are the current top contenders:
Infiniti FX35/FX37/QX70
Pre-2017MY Kia Cadenza
2015 Volvo V60 (probably T-5 Drive-E) Most Likely
Indian Motorcycle (or something else, I’m open)
I never cared about motorcycles until I saw a post on Jalopnik (shared from Lanesplitter) with this bike in it. I’ve started looking and listening to what people say about bikes, and even went to the brand new Indian Dealer to look at the bike in person. I got to sit on it and I felt awesome. I’m taking a Basic RiderCourse presented by the New Mexico Motorcycle Safety Program next week Friday, Saturday, and Sunday in order to find out if I’m a bike person. I’ll go ahead and get an endorsement on my license regardless of how it goes, but hopefully I love it. From there, I won’t own a bike until probably a year after I figure what my new living situation is like. That’s after the Amanti is sold, the Jeep is retired, I have a new living space, and a new car! Yeah...we’ll want a gap (financially) between all that mess.
I’m hoping I learn more about motorcycles, try out a bunch, do some test rides, and really know the market. If the Scout is still awesome, appropriate for me, and cheap preowned with low mileage in 2018/2019 then I’ll have the only bike that is a dream bike for me. Like I said though, don’t know any of the motorcycle stereotypes or what your bike says about you. But I don’t see how a 30 year old guy with a small cruiser as a first bike is anything negative.
That’s it! Those are my current plans that are relevant to Oppo and the cars I own. My Credit Score has been kicking ass for a year now! Has been averaging a 750 month to month. I would like it to be a 760 minimum that way I qualify for the top rates at my Credit Union. If I do get a house and a spouse...well that will mess everything up.
All of you are hereby banned from marrying me for the next 3 years!
I know this stuff seems a little far out to some of you, but my life gets really stable and uninteresting when you don’t have kids or a partner to coordinate with. Remember when the Jaguar F-Type was brand new? The production Convertible debuted in Fall of 2012 at the Paris Motor Show. You know what else debuted 3 years ago? Land Rover Range Rover. I have one more for you, McLaren P1. Time flies (well, more so if you’re British)!

Nice. I approve of Volvo wagons finding good homes. And good luck with the bike course / hunt!
